Why we exist
The kids who need the deepest roots get moved the most.
A child with an intellectual or developmental disability and an open foster care case is carried by two systems at once, and too often served fully by neither. Placements strain and disrupt. Communication needs go unmet. And at the far edge of childhood, too many young people age out of care with nowhere to go at all.
The Belonging Tree Foundation exists to change that arc. We provide the programs and services that plant strong roots for these children, so every one of them can ascend toward their fullest potential.
